Japanese Treatment during World War II

On December 7, 1941 the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor in Oahu, Hawaii Territory. (Hawaii didn't become a state until August 21, 1959.) More than 2,300 Americans were killed. Twelve American ships were destroyed or damaged. The U.S.S. Arizona was completely destroyed; the U.S.S. Oklahoma capsized. The United States declared war on Japan the next day. This is how the United States entered World War II. Japan's allies declared war against the United States soon after.

Pearl Harbor Picture Collections

The United States was at war as a direct result of Japanese bombing Pearl Harbor. Also, Japanese Americans and anyone who looked Japanese were not trusted because of the bombing. Suddenly, Japanese Americans were being treated as the enemy. Their homes, businesses, and possessions were taken from them and they were sent off to camps.

Twitter

Twitterature is the title of a book and also literature retold through tweets. Tweets are only 149 characters. We could take this challenge! Can you retell a Harry Potter book in only 149 characters?!! (A character is any letter, space, punctuation mark --anything that takes up a space.) I need to add some twitterature examples.
